Suffolk Sheep are a favoured British meat sheep, and easily identified by their charcoal/black head and feet. One of the oldest breeds, dating almost 130 years, Suffolks have strong growth rates and are renowned for easy lambing.
Grass fed, rotationally grazed, and supplemented by our home-grown mixed species ryes, clovers & herbs, our Baranbali Suffolks are rather spoiled, which results in a sweet, tender table product.
But, we can't take all the credit for our beautiful Suffolks: Our Maremma Sheep Dogs are the true flock managers. They are natural shepherd dogs, who bond with their flock to protect it.
Our flock are also sheared in October annually, and our Baranbali wool is taken away to become soft, snuggly socks!
