Baranbali sits on 80 rotationally grazed acres of mixed arable farmland, surrounded by the Bellthorpe and Conondale Ranges. Although geographically sub-tropical, our Summer is drier and less humid than the Sunshine Coast, just to our East, although we do benefit from good rainfall. And in winter, our log fires rage and winter mornings see frosted paddocks, akin to Toowoomba and other inland elevation towns.
We grow & bale our own mixed species herbs, clovers and ryes for organic feed/silage; and raise breeds carefully selected for their ease of birthing, production potential, and suitability to our micro-climate.
We are passionate cooks, readers & gardeners, and from our sprawling Potager, emerging Orchard, house Cows, Layers (Chickens), and Beef/Lamb/Pork products, we generate 70% of the organic food our young family consumes.

Baranbali is a working farm, owned by the Ellis family - Yvonne, David & their three pint-sized budding farmers - all who have a love for animals and the land.
Heralding from a mixed arable Dairy Farm in County Laois, Ireland, Yvonne developed her skills in animal husbandry & breeding, and tends the Baranbali livestock and food production. David's farming roots stem from Northern Tasmanian, before he relocated to the Sunshine Coast hinterland as a small boy.
Their backgrounds and shared passion for clean, sustainable agriculture and lifestyle, has led to the Baranbali philosophy.
